Abstract

Educational transformation has become increasingly important in supporting Indonesia’s digital economy, particularly in strengthening the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt to technological changes in the post-pandemic era. This study examined the relationship between digital literacy, financial technology (fintech) adoption, and MSME resilience in Indonesia, emphasizing the role of education in facilitating digital economic participation. Using a quantitative research approach, the study proposes an analytical framework to investigate how digital competencies and fintech adoption contribute to business resilience and sustainability. Secondary data from relevant national statistical publications, Bank Indonesia, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and other credible reports on Indonesia’s digital economy are considered to contextualize digital infrastructure development, digital payment adoption, and MSME performance. The analytical framework conceptualizes digital literacy as a key enabling factor that may facilitate fintech adoption, improve access to digital financial services, and strengthen MSMEs’ capacity to respond to market disruptions. Furthermore, educational transformation, particularly through digital skills development, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship education, is positioned as a strategic mechanism for enhancing MSMEs’ adaptive capacity and participation in the digital economy. This study contributes a conceptual perspective that integrates educational transformation with digital technology adoption and business resilience within Indonesia’s post-pandemic economic context. The findings are expected to inform policymakers, educational institutions, and MSME development stakeholders in designing inclusive educational initiatives and digital capacity-building programs. Such initiatives should be supported by adequate digital infrastructure, robust cybersecurity measures, personal data protection, and equitable access to digital financial services to promote sustainable and inclusive digital economic development in Indonesia.
