Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Instructions for Authors

Devotion is dedicated to serving the worldwide academic communities. It aims to contribute by publishing the progress of knowledge and its application. Devotion offers an open access policy which enables you to have online access to all the original research papers permanently without any cost. In the best interest of the educated community, Devotion provides open access to all its published research papers by levying minimal charges from the authors. 

Submission Policy

Devotion accepts only original work free from plagiarism. Authors can submit original and plagiarism-free unpublished work in any other journals. The submitted manuscript, or its translation, must not be published or submitted for publication elsewhere. In case of violation of these rules, manuscripts will be rejected without prior notice.

Manuscripts must be written in English and should have an abstract consisting of 150-300 words. Devotion welcomes the following contributions:

  • Original research articles
  • Review articles, providing a comprehensive review on a scientific topic.

Manuscript Submission                    

It is very simple to submit your research paper with us.

  1. Go to the submission menu on the Sidebar.
  2. Click Submit button.
  3. Fill online submission form, attach the manuscript and then click Submit button at the end of the page.

Note: 

You are requested to submit the manuscript in MS Word format only.

You may also submit your manuscripts by email as an attachment at jcopublishing@gmail.com.

Paper Language

The authors are asked to submit the manuscript written in the English language. Manuscripts written in another language are not acceptable.

Reviewers Suggestion

The authors should suggest two potential reviewers. The editor may contact the potential reviewers but it is not sure. While suggesting potential reviewers authors must keep some points in mind.

  1. Suggested reviewers should not be from co-authors.
  2. Suggested reviewers should not be from the authors’ university.
  3. Suggested reviewers should not have any publication with authors during the last 5 years.
  4. Suggested reviewers must have expertise in the respective field of study.

Submission Acknowledgement: After submission, the editorial team will acknowledge the submission and send an email to the corresponding author with Paper ID.

General Review: After submission, the manuscript undergoes a general review process for the format, plagiarism scanning and data completion. If a manuscript is accepted for review, it is forwarded for the peer review process. 

A Single Blind Peer Review Process: After the general review process the manuscript undergoes a single-blind peer review process. The editor-in-chief sends it to the reviewers for blind review. The whole process takes 2-4 weeks’ time.  

Review Report: When the review process is complete, the editor collects reports from the reviewers and decides to accept or reject the manuscript in the light of comments by the reviewers. Finally, the letter of acceptance or rejection or revision is sent to the author. 

Revised Version of Manuscript: In the case of revision, the script again undergoes the same peer-review process (Whenever necessary).

Acceptance: If the article is accepted after the peer review process, an invoice is sent to the author for the publication fee. When payment is received from the author, the manuscript is forwarded to the production department for further process of publication

Typesetting and Proofreading: The author is asked to format the manuscript according to the template provided by Devotion in the guideline for the authors. Then, it goes for typesetting and proofreading with the publisher. Devotion will send the script to the author in PDF before it is published online. In case of an error in the published script, the author is responsible to report the issue to the editor or publisher for correction.

Submission Status

After the submission author may inquire about the status of the submission by sending an email to anyone of the above ids. For status inquiry, authors need to send the title of the manuscript and mention the journal in which they have submitted the manuscript. The authors’ email will be responded in a short time.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Title: Paper must contain the full title, author’s full name, email address, and affiliation.

Abstract: The Abstract of the manuscript should state the scope of the experiment and indicate significant data and point out major findings and conclusions. The submitted manuscript should be in MS Word and must have an abstract, not more than 300 words. The abstract should include background, experiment, and conclusion.

Keywords: After the abstract 4-6 keywords must be added.

Introduction: An introduction should include a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject, and the proposed approach or solution. It should be easy and understandable.

Methods: There should be clearly explained the methods to allow possible replication of the research. The true new research method should be described in detail; previously published methods should be cited and important modifications of published methods should be mentioned in detail.

Findings and Discussion : The results should be presented clearly and precisely. The results should be written in the past tense when describing the author’s findings. Previously published findings should be written in the present tense. The Discussion should interpret the findings in view of the results obtained in this and in past studies on this topic. 

Conclusion: State the conclusions in a few sentences at the end of the paper. The Findings and Discussion section may include subheadings, and if appropriate, both sections can be combined.

Tables: Tables should be added with numbers and short heading. 

Acknowledgments: Acknowledgments should be included at the end of the paper and before the references.

Appendix: It should be added at the end of the manuscript.

Reference: All references should be listed at the end of the paper. All references should be completed as quoted in the following examples:

Example for Journal Reference:

Journal Article Workflow
 
Once you complete the submission process, there will be a manuscript number popping up. It means your manuscript has been submitted successfully. There is no need to submit your manuscript again after that.
 
Next, your paper will be considered by the editor and if it passes the pre-review, it will be sent for peer review by experts in your field. The whole publication process is shown as below:
